Vicki Ellias vacationed on Ambergris Caye for well over 10 ten years before moving to San Pedro full time and calling it her home.  She moved from the state of Wisconsin in the United States after falling in love with Belize on her first visit.

Vicki’s interest in wellness and living a healthier lifestyle began while developing an employee wellness program for the company she was working for in Wisconsin.  Researching existing programs inspired her, and it didn’t take long for her to commit to making her own long-term lifestyle changes and encouraging others to do the same.  After several years, Vicki wanted an even more “hands on” approach to wellness and enrolled in a massage therapy program.

Vicki graduated from the Fox Valley School of Massage in Appleton, Wisconsin in January 2007.  She holds a massage therapy license in the state of Wisconsin.  In October 2006 and in April 2007, she trained with Michael Young to become certified in Muscle Release Technique.  In August 2008, Vicki received certification in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year, which is prenatal, labor/delivery, and postpartum work.  Vicki initially worked in a day spa as a Massage Therapist before moving into a clinical setting.  She joined a regional health care system in the community she lived in and was instrumental in developing its massage therapy program.  Vicki worked in the local hospital providing therapy services to patients in the birthing center, rehabilitation unit, post-surgical unit, and elderly care unit.  She also worked in a women’s health clinic and in the home health care environment.

In her therapy practice in San Pedro, Vicki aims to help her clients restore motion, muscles, hope, and balance in their lives.  She spends the time that is necessary to understand her client’s needs and goals and seeks measureable outcomes.  She encourages others to make massage and bodywork a regular part of their overall health and wellness program.  Vicki is especially interested in movement of the body, scar tissue, and chronic pain.

In her free time, Vicki enjoys cooking, CrossFit, running, scuba diving, boating, snorkeling, kayaking and hosting gatherings with family and friends.  She likes to be physically and mentally challenged.  Vicki is currently pursuing a passion in essential oils, studying aromatherapy.  With a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist designation, she will add consultations and treatments to her practice.
